About us

Our family & home

Our farm is located on 10 acres in the Grass Lake area, and we are lucky enough to have a barn and house on site. Our old farm house was built in the 1890’s and the land has been farmed in some way ever since – vegetables, a dairy operation, hay, and now us. We love to experiment with growing different vegetables, cut flowers and mushrooms. The owners, Taik and Stephanie, started Two Tracks Acres in 2011. We both farm full time, and our family has grown so now we share this wonderful world with our two little girls, Lucy and May.

Vegetables

We have six hoop houses which allow us to grow lots of early spring produce. By April we usually have radishes, lettuce, pak choi, kale, chard, arugula, pea shoots, salad mix, and a good mix of hearty greens.

In the summer there is a larger variety of vegetables – tomatoes, onions, potatoes, greens, melons, and so much more.

Fall brings another flush of salad greens and lettuces. We usually have veggies through Thanksgiving.

Mushrooms

We grow our mushrooms indoors in grow tents to be able to control humidity and temperature. They are not certified organic, but we do not spray or use any chemicals in their production. For more information and recipe ideas, visit our mushroom page.
